Arriving to Naples by train is easy and convenient. The main train station is located in the heart of the city, in the Garibaldi Square. From here, you can take the metro, buses or taxis to explore the different areas and attractions of the city.
The Metro of Naples is divided in two lines, the Line 1 (red) and the Line 6 (orange). These services are available from 6:00 AM to 11:45PM, from Monday to Sunday. At the station you can purchase tickets, valid for single or multiple trips.
If you prefer to take the bus, there are many stops in most of the main streets of the city. However, they are not very frequent and tend to be crowded during rush hour. During the night, you can take the night buses, which have the same stops as the day buses, but with fewer lines.
To start visiting Naples, we recommend you to explore the old town, where you will find some of the most important monuments and attractions of the city, such as the Maschio Angioino Castle and the Church of Gesù Nuovo.
