Trains to Mechelen

Mechelen is a city in Belgium located near the capital Brussels and easily accessible by train. The rail station is located in the city center and provides excellent transport links. The Mechelen-Nekkerspoel railway station, located just outside the city center, is the main hub from which travelers can access the city from anywhere in Belgium or Europe. From the station, you have access to hourly regional trains, international high-speed Thalys trains, night trains, as well as regular bus and tram services. 

If you plan to visit the city, you can use the public bus or tram from the railway station to explore the city. The bus station is close to the entrance of the station, from where you can take a bus to any part of the city. The tram station is conveniently located right outside the station. It links the city centre with the outskirts.

Located in the Grote Markt (Grand Place), it's open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and admission is free.

Mechelen Museum. The Mechelen Museum is the perfect spot for art lovers. It houses a comprehensive collection of works from the 15th to the 21st centuries, with a focus on Flemish and Dutch art. Located on the Grote Markt (Grand Place), it's open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday, and entry fees start from €4.

De Halve Maan Brewery. Beer lovers will enjoy a visit to De Halve Maan (Half Moon) Brewery. With its centuries-old brewing technology and spectacular views of the city skyline, this is one experience you won't forget. Located near the centre of town, it's open from noon to 5 p.m., and tours cost €11.

Hof van Busleyden Museum. The Hof van Busleyden Museum brings history to life. With its interactive exhibits and impressive collection of art and artifacts, it's the perfect spot for a day out with family or friends. Located near the Grote Markt (Grand Place), it's open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, and entry fees start from €7.

The Vismarkt Mechelen is a popular spot and is open every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
