There are different options available if you want to travel in SNCB by bicycle:
Folded bicycles and scooters:
- Are allowed on board for free if the following conditions are met:
- It must be folded or collapsed prior to boarding and during transportation.
- It must be stored in designated areas (underneath your seat, between seats, or in the vestibule at the entrance of the carriage).
Non-folding bicycles:
- You must pay a Bicycle Supplement if you want to ride your non-folding bicycle on the train (normal bicycle, but also tandem, cart, segway, or electric bicycle).
- The train attendant will tell you where you can keep your bike while travelling.
E-bikes:
- E-bikes are subject to the same rules as regular bikes. You need to buy a bike ticket for your e-bike, and it should be placed in the designated areas.
Bike Storage:
- Bikes should be placed in the designated bike areas on the train. You are responsible for securing your bike during the journey.
Parking:
- Many SNCB stations offer bike parking facilities. Make sure to use these designated areas to avoid fines or removal.
Safety:
- Always follow the station regulations regarding the use of bikes and scooters to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.
